A surf & yoga guesthouse above Banana Point
Eight bright rooms, a Moroccan breakfast every morning and a rooftop over the ocean and the mountains. Stay for a few nights, or bring your group and have the whole house.
Slow mornings, salt air and a rooftop for the sunset
Yara Lodge opened in 2026 on the hillside of Hay Zgoumi in Tamraght Oufella, 1.2 km above the Atlantic swells of Banana Point. It’s part guesthouse, part Moroccan coastal home: eight bright rooms, unhurried service, and a rooftop where the day starts with msemen and fresh juice and ends with the sunset.
A home on the hill, not a hotel
The view
Framed by the mountains and the Atlantic: open sky, warm sun and a horizon to watch from the roof.
The house
Plaster walls, raw linen, woven textiles and hand-carved doors. Handmade warmth instead of hotel minimalism.
The welcome
A mint tea when you arrive, a Moroccan breakfast every morning, and Ghita, your host, who wants you to feel at home.
Eight rooms, one rooftop
From premium doubles with ocean views to a female-only dorm. Breakfast is always included.
Tala
One of our two premium rooms, with panoramic views over the ocean and the mountains. Bright, spacious and calm: the best seat in the house after the rooftop.
Tamda
A calm double at garden level, with a teal throw, a hand-carved wooden door and soft light through linen curtains. It sits right by the main entrance: easy to reach, and sometimes a little lively as guests come and go.
Tayri
Bright and thoughtfully designed, Tayri can be made up with one double bed or two singles, so it suits couples, friends and solo travellers alike.
Bring your group to the rooftop
Book all eight rooms for a yoga, surf or wellness retreat of up to 22 guests: a private house, a rooftop above the ocean, home cooking, and a local team who sort out transfers and surf lessons.
Surf by morning, tea by sunset
Surf
Banana Point is 1.2 km down the hill and Taghazout about 15 minutes by car. Group surf lessons 350 MAD per person, board and wetsuit included.
Yoga
Rooftop yoga classes with the ocean below and the mountains behind, 150 MAD per person.
Breakfast
Freshly made eggs, msemen, bread, local spreads, fresh juice and coffee or tea, 08:00–10:00 on the roof.
Evenings
A mint tea to welcome you, and Atlantic sunsets from the rooftop.
